A perfect vacation!
This was my 1st visit to the Dominican Republic and was not sure what to expect, but was very pleased with the owner and staff at Seahorse Condo’s. The views are spectacular just up the hill from the ocean with a great view and with mountains directly behind. This is in a gated community with security yet the owner has his own 24 hr. security which gives great piece of mind. There are king size beds in the condo’s, satellite TV, internet, and the owner has his own back-up generator to guarantee electricity 24 hours a day. The staff is super friendly and willing to help with anything. There is a beautiful full sized pool right there that is cleaned each morning, yet the ocean and beaches are within easy walking distance. Best of both worlds!

There is a golf course only a few blocks away which was great for me, with a couple of others within easy driving distance. There is also a grocery store and a pharmacy only a couple blocks away from the condo’s. Very nice! There are restaurants within the gated community of Costambar, plus many others within only a few miles outside of the community. I felt very safe and secure during my stay there which made relaxing and enjoying the view that much more enjoyable. I met people staying there from the U.S., Canada, England, and Switzerland and enjoyed laying by the pool and exchanging stories. All in all, a very pleasurable 2 week stay in a very clean, well run establishment.My only complaint is I had to leave at the end of 2 weeks to go home.

It’s always a great trip at Seahorse
Seahorse always makes me comfortable and safe. I’ve stayed in 3 different condos at seahorse and they all were excellent ! Trustworthy staff, great pool, ocean view, walk to the beach, it’s all rite there. I will not stay anywhere else. Corner market, restaurants, golf, jungle trips all available. Seahorse also can rent u a car or truck if u like. U name it and Jack Cameron will help u in anyway possible!

First, let me say that I am not your typical tourist, who wants to stay in a large, all-inclusive resort, and be pampered, 24/7. I have friends in Costambar, and was looking for a reasonably-priced. longer-term, apartment-hotel, near to them and to the beach. They recommended Seahorse Condos, and I’m very glad that they did.The owner, Jack Cameron, is a true gentleman. Probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Extremely helpful and informative, he picked me up from the airport, then put me in a huge, three-bedroom apartment on the first floor, facing the street. It wasn’t exactly what I needed or wanted, but it was all he had available at the time. Because of this, he gave me a very reasonable price on the accommodations, which, by the way, were very new, spotless, and had all the typical, modern amenities; e.g., satellite TV, hi-fi, Internet access. The hotel is a little far from the beach, but still within walking distance, as is the grocery, restaurants, shops, and the golf course. If you don’t like to walk, then there is a golf cart available for your use. If you’re a star-gazer or a romantic, as I am, then the views from the balcony will be a joy to behold. Seahorse is located on the highest point in Costambar; and the night skies there are very dark. By day, the ocean and Mount Isabel are lovely, too.So, to summarize: Jack’s place fit my needs very nicely. If you’re not looking for a beach-front, all-inclusive resort, then I think it will do so for you, too. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay!
I stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Jack and his crew took good care of me. Large rooms, nice living room furniture (no wicker), fantastic view of the ocean, nice cool constant breeze. The team there are friendly

Seahorse Condos, Costambar Dominican RepublicI have lived at seahorse Condos for 6 months now starting in the middle of December. I would recommend this as a place to stay to anyone interested in visiting the DR. The following are some points that were important to me in selecting a place to stay.Security: Seahorse Condos has 24 hr staff on site. A large gated wall, closed at night, and a night security guard. Pool: The cleanest I have seen in the area. You can always see staff performing daily maintenance and cleaning out leaves, insects, and such that naturally fall into the pool.Grounds: Grounds and buildings are always maintained in very good condition. Grass and bushes always well trimmed and various flowers and trees distributed through the grounds. Seahorse Condos is on the top of a high hill with great views of the surrounding area. All apartments that I have been in are clean and well maintained.Hot Water: Never in 6 months have I had to take a cold shower (This is very important to me). Sometimes pressure is a little weak, but always hot water.Noise: Up away from the beach and the beach noise although the beach is within easy walking distance.Breeze: Very few days that there is not a nice ocean breeze blowing. In 6 months I have only used the air conditioning when taking a shower to keep the humidity down when I am dressing. I have never had to use it during the day or for sleeping at night.Staff: Very friendly and always helpful. Jack, the owner lives here 6 months of the year and can easily be contacted if the need arises when not here. Jack will bend over backwards to see that you have an enjoyable stay.Entertainment: There are several very good restaurants, the beach, tennis courts(with a great tennis coach (Isaiah) who speaks good English), are all within 5-15 minute walking distance. Power: Costambar now has 24 hour power.

Thank you Jack and staff for the great vacation hospitality. Seahorse Condos come with a great service, attention, professionalism, great pool and 10 minute walk to Costambar beach, restaurants, supermarket, pizza and all in an secure guarded community. I will be staying in Seahorse Condos on my next vacation.

Heaven in Costambar
I stayed at this Beautiful Condo in Puerto Plata with my Fiancee. Indeed, heaven does exist as I imagine.. The Condo is located in a private secure setting about 20 minutes drive from Puerto Plata airport. However, I arrived into Santiago airport and Jack ( the owner ) arranged for a transfer (small fee) back to the house.Once on the grounds, we felt safe and comfortable romancing our holiday away.

The Condo was clean and well set up for Internet, satellite TV and all the mod cons required to make your holiday enjoyable and relaxing. There are a couple of really important aspects to this place that sticks out for me and why I will return again and again…Electricity in Dominican Rep can be unreliable. However, Jack the (really nice Guy and very professional) owner, has thought about this at length and provided both back up batteries and generators in order to over come problems, when they occur with power. The other positive that sticks out is the size of the pool, combined with the privacy.Finally, the staff are all very positive happy and helpful. Enjoy and experience Heaven !!!

I had the pleasure of staying for 2 weeks at these condos. Great, very clean and all the staff are zoo helpful. If you are looking to party this is not the place for you but a beautiful view, clean grounds and great location then this is the place for you. Thanks Jack!

Time at Seahorse Condos is a Privilege.
To spend time in Jack’s Seahorse Condos in the Dominican Republic is more than a privilege.

Not only is it every tropic lover’s dream of ocean views and breezes, palm trees sweetly whispering while you refresh yourself in the blamelessly clean pool, or sip your rum punch on one of the terraces or on the gazebo with a 360° view of an azure ocean and a wild mountain backdrop behind which the sun sets gloriously.

The apartment is clean and airy, spacey and comes with air condition or/and fans. Were it not for all the adventures of an unbelievably Victorian Puerto Plata beckoning, with its bustle and seductive Caribbean aura, or the lure of wildly romantic palm tree-covered mountains and their waterfalls, you would never leave this, your own and private paradise. But to be more down to earth: Of course you can prepare your own meals in your kitchen but you will find it hard to resist the many inviting restaurants within walking distance, offering Dominican, German, Austrian and international food at a surprisingly low price and of highest gourmet quality. Walk the calories off on the endless white beaches or dive and snorkel in the bathtub warm waters.

Jack is a friendly and ever helpful host. His friendly staff do their best to oblige and keep the grounds groomed, the pool well serviced and give you the feeling of being looked after and safe. There is heavenly peace and quiet and safety behind a three meter wall fencing the grounds off from the next plots.

Great Condo

I had a great stay at condo (5F) from May 24-28. Condo is a very large 1 bedroom which overlooks the pool area and the ocean with a stunning view. The condo was extremely clean and quite. The staff is also great, any problems or questions just ask for “Anthony” great guy and speaks English. I would highly recommend this condo and I will be returning.
